There are so many good men and women who serve as Teachers, Administrators, School Board Members, and educational advocates around the state. In this hour of growing turmoil in the education arena, as more and more parents are realizing what is not being taught in the classroom, seeing first hand the agendas that are being advocated, and speaking up until they are horse to try and get things changed, we cannot overlook the men and women who are doing good on the inside. Though they could be few in comparison to those who have used the system, we must acknowledge the heroes who have stood in the gap and pushed back on this growing monstrosity of Progressive agenda in our education systems. WE NEED TO BUILD RELATIONSHIPS
These few heroes in education must be identified among us. Not publicly, but privately. We must let them know we want to be part of the solution, and they need to know above all else we share their love in caring for our children. They need to know we appreciate them. And they need to hear and see that we are not going away. Things would be 100 times worse if it were not for many educators over the years who have faced the bullying of the teacher’s unions, pushed back against woke ideologies before it was even a trending topic, and gone the extra mile to help our children. We celebrate as more and more citizens engage in the school arena over the past couple years. But we cannot lose sight of the men and women that have been standing guard in the education arena for decades, long before we thought it was worthy of our time and attention. Some of you can think of a “good teacher” that has made a huge impact for good on your community, even in light of the corruption and filth we see spilling out of the pores of the education structure. We must not forget these champions. As citizens we must engage a spirit of partnership and relationship building. We need to assume the best of Educators before we assume the worst! Why? Because it is the humane thing to do. OUR ROLE IN THE MESS We need to take a hard core self-check in this hour: we need to recognize our role in the current disaster in the education arena. If we as taxpayers had not given away our role eons ago, the agendas controlling the educational universe would not be as big of a bully as they are now. The good men and women on the inside of the political arena have heeded the dangers long before we understood what was happening. Many have tried sounding the alarm for decades feeling like no one was listening. Well, we are listening now. We are sorry we were late to the game but we must thank them for standing in the gap when we would not. THANK YOU To all the good men and women working in the education arena who are doing their best to stop the advance of progressive ideology and teach children the basics of how to think not just what to think - we salute you. We acknowledge you. We praise you. We say the soul of our nation has a fighting chance because in the hours of darkness when no one else was paying attention - you were watching. You were omitting a book from the reading plan, you were not adopting terminology in the classroom, you were loving a child even when you did not have to do so. You were handling situations with care and sensitivity. You were giving of your own resources to get the kids the help they needed. And you were being creative in how and what you taught to not indoctrinate young minds sooner than was needed. We want you to know that we see you. We thank you. And we stand on your shoulders as together we hope to partner with you to redeem the hour and reform our nation one school at a time. You are our heroes. We aren’t going away. We are here to stay. Tell us what you need, how to help you, and what ways we can be part of meeting the needs of our children in this generation. - Amy Hawkins (Jackson Michigan) is an advocate for excellence in education.
